Architect and designer born in Mexico City in 1984, studied at the Max Cetto Workshop of the Faculty of Architecture at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, obtaining Highest Honors for her thesis work.

As a student she realized independent projects of architecture and design and worked in different architectural firms and research projects.

The concern of building their own vision led her to study various disciplines such as theater, music, and painting, as well as making trips to different cities of the world. She is convinced that the interdisciplinary experience, technique, constant reflection and realization of projects are key factors for the construction and consolidation of a deep and transcendent work.

In 2011 Sofia got Honorable Mention in the International Competition "URBAN ICON. INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION. GDL2011 with the project of a mixed use large-scale building intended as an urban icon in the city of Guadalajara.

In 2012 she founded "MXURBANO Estudio", a Mexican company dedicated to creating high-design furniture, which does not seek to create a style but to capture in each piece its own personality which is influenced by literature, music, painting, cinema, architecture and urban life.

In 2014 she was invited to participate in the International Exhibition of Mexican Design Europe 2014 which was presented in cities like Milan, London and Paris.
